Project Spotlight: The Productivity Suite

A Narrow Home Office Transformed with Cherry & Soft-Close Precision

The Vision: The client approached us for a complete office overhaul, requiring a high-function workspace within a narrow floor plan. The goal was to create a "light and airy" atmosphere that could handle a massive amount of storage—including binders, albums, and multiple printers—while providing enough counter space to lay out several files simultaneously.

The Design Challenge: With a single window and a narrow footprint, layout was everything. We strategically centered the primary workspace under the window to maximize natural light. To solve the storage crisis without making the room feel cramped, we designed the cabinetry to reach the ceiling, adding height and elegance while concealing clutter.

The Craftsmanship & Details:

  • Premium Finishes: We used solid Cherry tops sealed with M.L. Campbell Krystal finish for a durable, smooth surface. The five-panel inset doors and drawer fronts were finished in a clean solid-color topcoat for a modern, easy-to-clean aesthetic.

  • Superior Hardware: For a seamless user experience, we integrated soft-close European hinges and Grass undermount soft-close slides. The drawer boxes are a testament to quality, featuring solid Brown Maple with classic dovetail construction.

  • Smart Organization: * The Command Center: A dedicated cabinet houses multiple printers, the internet router, and a multi-device charging station.

    • Versatile Filing: Custom adjustable rails allow for both standard and legal-sized hanging files.

    • Airflow Integration: The layout was engineered to accommodate a single-source vent, ensuring climate control was never constricted.

  • The Finishing Touch: Decorative crown molding was applied to give the built-ins a polished, permanent look while masking ceiling discrepancies.
