Project Spotlight: The Modern Floating Vanity

A Minimalist Cherry Masterpiece with Concealed Plumbing

The Vision: The goal for this project was to create a sleek, "floating" bathroom vanity that offered substantial storage without the heavy visual footprint of a traditional floor-mounted cabinet. The client desired a contemporary aesthetic that emphasized clean lines and an "open and airy" feel for the master bath.

The Craftsmanship: We chose Solid Cherry for its warm, darkening patina and exceptionally smooth grain. By utilizing a wall-hung "floating" mount, we maximized the visible floor space, making the entire bathroom feel larger and more modern. The natural richness of the cherry provides a high-end organic contrast to the often sterile surfaces of a bathroom.

The Fine Details:

• Engineered Plumbing Access: To solve the common issue of plumbing obstructing storage, we designed the two primary bays with recessed backs. This allows the vanity to sit flush and hide all pipework while maintaining a fully usable interior.

• Streamlined Storage: As a sophisticated alternative to traditional drawers or faux tip-outs, this design features open-concept storage bays. This configuration allows for easy access to linens and toiletries while maintaining the piece's minimalist profile.

• Precision Joinery: Given that the vanity is wall-mounted, we focused on high-strength internal joinery to ensure the unit remains perfectly level and secure under the weight of the countertop and sinks.
