Project Spotlight: The Master Spa Retreat

Custom Maple Suite with Integrated Linen Storage & Makeup Vanity

The Vision: For this master bath renovation, the clients prioritized "easy-to-clean elegance" and a layout that maximized every available inch of a shared space. The goal was to create a bright, airy environment that utilized natural light to its fullest, while providing dedicated, organized storage for two people—including a hidden solution for laundry and specialized housing for high-end cosmetics and appliances.

The Craftsmanship: The entire suite is constructed from Solid Maple, selected for its exceptional strength and ultra-smooth grain—the perfect substrate for a premium painted finish. We applied a specialized solid-color lacquer that offers a high-performance, easy-to-wipe surface. This crisp, bright finish reflects the room’s natural light, significantly opening up the space.

The Fine Details:

  • Comprehensive Storage Engineering:

    • Integrated Linen Closet: To the right of the primary vanity, we built a floor-to-ceiling linen closet. The upper section and the vanity towers feature fully adjustable shelving to accommodate everything from oversized towels to small toiletries.

    • Hidden Functionality: The vanity design seamlessly incorporates a concealed hamper, keeping the floor space clear and maintaining the room’s polished look.

  • The Companion Makeup Vanity: On the opposite wall, we designed a secondary vanity that mirrors the primary unit's aesthetic but with specialized modifications.

    • Custom Drawer Configuration: To accommodate the client’s preference for storing cosmetic pouches, creams, and hair appliances, we integrated three extra-deep drawers.

    • Architectural Character: We gave this piece unique character by shifting the accent details to the center, beneath the primary drawer.

  • Zero-Waste Design: Unlike mass-produced cabinetry, our custom approach allowed us to span the entire wall without the use of "filler strips." Every fractional inch of the layout was converted into functional storage, providing a true "wall-to-wall" built-in appeal.
